Here is the piece as it stands now. It is a 4 X 6 foot painting, oil on canvas. I anticipate roughly a month before I can stop working on it. I will keep posting pictures as it changes.
I am a painter, primarily landscape and have had several solo shows and received awards in Juried Exhibitions through out the United States. Also I have been featured in various publications in America and in an international Art book that features artist and interviews from selected artists through out the world.
I enjoy traveling and recently returned from a six month painting expedition in Albania. During that time I gave lectures and traveled through out the country. I had a solo show and one of my painting is now in the current Albania President's collection.
My current artistic influences and schools of art that inspire me are the Barbizon School which include Corot, Rousseau and Harpignes. The American Tonalist movement, artists to name a few Charles Warren Eaton and George Inness. The New Hope School, American impressionists and the Hudson River School. Artists of note for me are Sargent, Eaton, Garber. Blakelock is also a favorite along with Maxfield Parrish and the early dutch landscape painter Ruisdael, and who can forget Constable. I realize I am all over the map with these listings, I apologize.
I am currently working on one large work. It measures 4 X 6 feet. The work is in oils and depicts a wooded park in Albania in the spring. I will take pictures shortly so I can keep this blog updated with the paintings progress.
